I spent the day with my sister today and in the evening we went on the roof to take some pictures of the sunset. Unfortunately enough, when we got back my sister (who had an open heart surgery years ago, and newly has a pace maker) slipped on one of the stairs and went tumbling on a few. Concrete stairs. Needless to say it was one of those moments when you see it infront of your eyes, you see how small we are, how quick we can go, in a split of a second... We all take things for granted and forget to stop and thank for yet another sunrise, another sunset, the fact we're breathing. We, the blessed ones, sometimes forget how fortunate we are for being healthy, for having a family, for having friends... Not everyone can say so.
We should all say I love you more often to the people that matter to us...
As for this night, it was indeed one of those scary moments. Fortunately she ended up just severely bruised (due to the thinning-blood medication she has to take daily), with a big bump on her forehead and right hand. I did call 911 and took her to the hospital just to check if all OK internally...I truly think there was a biiiig angel above just watching down at her, and me, for that matter, an angel I would love to thank.
On a lighter note, we did have a great day otherwise, and took some nice shots.
