Amy's 30th B-day!

One of my dearest friends, Amy, turned 30 this Saturday! Great reason to celebrate. We started out with a photoshoot for her invite, with a loooong night uploading her invites and posters at Adorama to making it at Highline, where we started the night. She had a blast and so did everyone else. We then took a limo to Fontana's where we were done at 4 in the morning... I left holding an umbrella someone left there... Everyone was dragging their feet to hail a cab home. Next day, Sunday, when everyone was hurting, I quit smoking. It was about time. Truly hope this time will last! Cheers once again Amy! I love you very much!

Threadless Designs

I can't get enough of those incredibly talented people submitting for Threadless.
Never-ending creative juices flowing every time I check their site.
I owe a couple of them. Art. Nobody designs better your "basic t-shirt" like they do.

FALL is here... :(

I love summer so much that the early, full-force coming of fall sends me back to the (already) memories of this summer. Funny enough I have come accross this reference file that I have researched a while ago, representing the fall-winter 08 colors. ARRRRRRRR... not looking forward to snow.

Fashion Week Spring 2009

I have seen most of the NY Spring 2009 shows but so far, by far Narciso Rodriguez was one of the ones that impressed me most. Japanese warrior meets architecture, graphic design and tré-chic mummy. The construction of those pieces, especially from the back (oh, no one does backs better than Narciso) was breathtaking.

The other designers to die for were in no particular order: Ralph Rucci, Betsey Johnson, Ralph Lauren, Proenza Schouler, Christopher Kane...

Ralph Lauren took my breath away this time. The English Patient in Morocco... wow. Gorgeous and styled impecable.

Missbehave magazine party, 09.11

If you never read Missbehave magazine, do me a favor, go to Universal News, pick it up and read it. It will put a smile on your face guaranteed. The witty-smarty-down-to-earth writing style has me as a big fan.
Aside from the fact that photographically they take it there. My friend Robert, has done some of his most creative work for them.

(behind the bar: makeup by Robert)

Yes, people still live for her. He just saw her concert in Europe.
He said amazing. Judging by the t-shirt, sure.

Spotted: The dream team. Hair stylist extraordinaire Amy Farid
and makeup artist Robert Greene. Both with See Management.

One genius at Missbehave magazine.

Cheers!

US Open Men's Final

We purchased the tickets on ebay a night before and went to see the Men's final. Not only that I am a big fan of Roger Federer but since I live few stops away and never been to a match I thought it was about time. Of course we did not have THE best spot on the house, however when we got there we got Court passes and enjoyed about 3/4 of the match almost next to Anna Wintour, Roger's dad and girlfriend. The match was short and sweet, won by, of course RF.

Felt real good!
